This is no April Fools joke!
We are excited that Megan joined the team on the first of April as a Senior GIS Analyst. She has a bachelor’s degree in Earth and Environmental Science from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!)
Megan started her career in environmental consulting, doing mostly field work and reporting in the first 4 years of her career. She loved working outdoors but wanted to get her foot in the door with GIS. She leapt at the opportunity to become a GIS Analyst at an energy consulting company, where she became a jack-of-all-trades for anything GIS in energy: renewables, transmission lines, nuclear, etc. She enjoyed working in the fast-paced energy sector, but pivoted paths to Cloudpoint for a better work/home balance. She is excited to put her skills to use for our local government clients!
A few fun facts about Megan:
She has been to 23 National Parks - and her favorites include Zion, Death Valley, and Crater Lake
She loves to rock climb, hike in the mountains, and go skiing
She minored in geology and can relay many fun facts about rocks
Her secret talent is cake decorating and she makes the best chocolate chip cookies (this is yet to be fact-checked by us!)
She keeps 16 houseplants alive in her Chicago apartment
