Jonathan Hodel, PE, GISP President & CEO

Mr. Hodel is a licensed professional engineer and certified GIS professional with over 20 years of experience in civil engineering and geospatial services. He has a well-diversified background of professional experience in the public and private sectors of civil engineering. Mr. Hodel has valuable experience in the implementation and development of GIS systems for public works and transportation agencies. Since graduating from the University of Illinois, at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, he has worked for two of the highest-rated civil engineering firms in Central Illinois before serving in the public sector as the County Engineer for Stark and Woodford Counties. In 2011, he left Woodford County to pursue his passion for geospatial work through the creation of Cloudpoint Geospatial.

Erin Strickler, PE, GISP Vice President of Operations

Ms. Strickler is a well-rounded professional with a civil engineering and GIS background. With over 20 years of industry experience, she brings technical expertise and strategic vision to her role as Vice President of Operations at Cloudpoint. Ms. Strickler’s dedication to geospatial excellence is reflected in her oversight of Cloudpoint’s projects, ensuring the seamless execution of deliverables. Her leadership extends to the Local Government and Public Safety teams, tailoring projects to the specific needs of our clients. Her portfolio includes NG9-1-1 data cleanup, cemetery mapping, and data collection projects. She is passionate about combining her engineering experience with the power of GIS to help our clients make location-based, data-driven decisions.

Hunter Ray, GISP Director of Technical Services

Mr. Ray brings over 11 years of GIS experience to his role as Director of Technical Services at Cloudpoint Geospatial. He earned his Master’s degree in Geographic Information Systems from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2020. Mr. Ray is instrumental in guiding Cloudpoint's clients through the implementation and troubleshooting of ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise.

His expertise extends to data processing, where he oversees QC/QA across a diverse range of projects. He is also well-versed in web and mobile app design and development, along with the latest innovations in GIS automation. He is passionate about leveraging GIS to drive impactful outcomes and improve efficiency.
