With the addition of multiple new managed service clients and other large projects in the works, the need arose to grow our production team. We take care in our hiring process to ensure we find the right candidate for us. With that said, we are happy to welcome Haley! She is joining us as a GIS Analyst and is excited to work on Cloudpoint’s portfolio of projects. Haley’s background includes an Environmental Studies degree from St. Mary’s College of Maryland as well as a GIS Certificate from the University of Montana. Prior to starting her career in GIS, she worked in environmental conservation and restoration in Missoula, MT. She led trail crews in the wilderness and worked on multiple river restoration projects, as well as projects related to invasive plant species.
These experiences are what piqued her interest in GIS. Prior to joining Cloudpoint, she worked as a GIS Specialist/Cartographer at Adventure Cycling Association where she performed GIS analysis to determine cyclist safety and designed maps for bike touring. She has utilized GIS in relation to water conservation and has created web maps with ArcGIS Online, integrating maps in the ArcGIS Story Map platform. She also has experience in creating GIS workflows for the digitization of vector data to study agricultural water usage.
Haley is originally from Maryland and grew up exploring the Chesapeake Bay. She has always loved the outdoors, which led her to move out west to Montana. She has since moved to Denver where she resides with her cat, Leo. Her hobbies include listening to music, playing instruments, doing anything outside (hiking/biking/snowboarding), and reading sci-fi novels.
