Keeping Up With Cloudpoint

After a bit of a hiatus from showcase events, Cloudpoint was excited to be back with a great group of people for a showcase at Town Hall in Zionsville, Indiana on December 8th. The day started with delicious coffee and donuts, as well as a bit of time for everyone to get acquainted. As Cloudpoint continues to grow its clientele across multiple states and industries, we are always primed and ready to seek out the best employees to join the team. As a number of brand-new clients were being added to our Managed Services roster, the need arose for an additional GIS Technician, and in stepped Brittany.

Cloudpoint will celebrate 11 years in business on August 25, 2022. For our anniversary, we were able to bring our remote employees to home base so that all of the Cloudpoint employees could enjoy a full day of fun activities together. The day started at the office with a light breakfast of cinnamon & caramel rolls and a fun icebreaker game. We took updated “all staff” photos and did our company cheer for the first time in-person (let’s just say the timing was much better than doing it virtually).
So much goes into transitioning a 911 system to NG911, from changing state policies to buying appropriate equipment to updating GIS data. This upgrade comes with a large price tag. There are a lot of variables and scenarios were calculated in the report to Congress, but we’re talking in the ballpark of $14 billion dollars nation-wide. Cloudpoint LOVES referrals! When a county Board of Elections in Ohio came to us in need of help cleaning up their address data - we were ready and (more than) able to help! Our work with the Board includes aligning the road names in two disparate databases to enable cleaner geocoding between the two. While it was our first time assisting a Board of Elections, it was far from our first time cleaning up address data, as we have assisted many 9-1-1 organizations with their data cleanup.
