While most of 2020 has been anything but recognizable in virtually (see what I did there) every facet of society, Cloudpoint has strived to bring the same level of education and interaction that our clients and supporters have been used to from us.
When “lockdown” hit us, we quickly pivoted to providing FREE webinars on a wide range of topics:
Working with data for NG9-1-1
Migrating from ArcMap to ArcGIS Pro
These are just a few of the many topics discussed, but our biggest undertaking was to convert our bi-annual Showcases from an in-person setting to the virtual platform. Rather then reinvent the entire wheel of cheese, we started with a topic we’re all very well versed in: Public Works.
Your GIS should be the backbone for public works. Esri has come up with solutions and services that directly solve problems in public works, and thankfully for you, we are experts in implementing, utilizing, upgrading, and training these services and solutions.
We kept this in mind as we designed our showcase. We made sure it was accessible to all levels of users and employees within public works, transportation, land records, asset management, and engineering. Speakers from Esri and Cloudpoint brought us topics ranging from ArcGIS Hub to Survey123. And since we can’t all meet face-to-face, we turned to Zoom.
Thankfully most everyone in our industry and our clients’ industries have been able to quickly transition over to virtual meetings, almost as if we’ve been doing them all along. While in-person meetings are vastly preferable when the occasion calls for it, we see virtual meetings continuing post-Covid for many people (and we don’t mind saving a little travel cost). However, this also means that we are able to easily and quickly record, package, and distribute our webinars and showcases to people that could not attend, or are simply Googling around for GIS tutorials. I have embedded the entire showcase below, but individual presentations, along with a plethora of other GIS tutorials and tips can be found by subscribing to our YouTube channel.
Thanks for stopping by. Stay safe out there, keep your eye out for more showcases to come, and we’ll “see” you soon!
