SHOWCASE SHOW NOTES
Local Government officials from both sides of the river gathered on December 5th in Eldridge, IA to have some fun, listen to some Christmas music, and learn about the latest and greatest in GIS technology from the Cloudpoint experts.

After a bit of a hiatus from showcase events, Cloudpoint was excited to be back with a great group of people for a showcase at Town Hall in Zionsville, Indiana on December 8th. The day started with delicious coffee and donuts, as well as a bit of time for everyone to get acquainted. Jonathan Hodel and Virginia VanderVeen from Cloudpoint as well as representatives from Esri all took turns presenting on various ArcGIS topics. Some of those included:
Delicious coffee and cinnamon rolls started us off as we enjoyed another local government showcase event in Morton, IL at their beautiful Fire House. Speakers from Cloudpoint, Esri, and special guest speaker Glen Wetterow, GIS/Planning and Zoning Coordinator from East Peoria, IL, all helped fill us in on the new updates from Esri and expand our knowledge on GIS. While we discussed the needs and solutions of public works, transportation, planning, land use, public safety, land information, address management and more, we also had a lot of fun in between! Gift cards, golf, and Jersey Mike’s for lunch!
After our coffee and cinnamon rolls, we enjoyed another local government showcase event in Whitewater, WI. Another great turn out, we sent attendees home with an abundance of GIS information, gift cards, and happy memories. Not only that but we offered free training to attendees. It is always a great time when we can help others stay on top of new updates from Esri and expand our knowledge on GIS.
Just before Christmas we enjoyed another local government showcase event in our hometown area in Morton, IL. Another great turn out, we sent attendees home with a wealth of GIS information, some giftcards, putting lessons, and an opportunity to pick up some last minute Christmas gifts as they headed out for their holiday weekend a bit early on this cold Friday afternoon. On a beautiful day along the Rock River we enjoyed the latest showcase event with a group of local government officials, users, technical staff, and field personnle from northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. After coffee and Caleri’s Cinnamon rolls in the morning The Illinois Esri Local Government representative (Joe Arizia) Welcomed our crowd.
Whether you came for the learning or the amazing food, this showcase was an excellent example of how we really 'cater' to the audience's needs. Half way through the program we juggled the agenda as the attendees wished to hear a bit more about the parcel fabric. We want these events to be all about you learning how the latest GIS solutions can directly impact your line of work.
